Mohamed Salah is urging his Egypt teammates to put their club differences aside ahead of the Pharaohs' AFCON 2021 qualification double-header against Togo.
The Liverpool star discussed his concerns about tensions between Al Ahly and Zamalek players bubbling over, with the two giants of Egyptian soccer set to meet in the final of the CAF Champions League on November 27.
"I do not want there to be any tension between the players before or during the national team camp," Salah told beIN SPORTS.
Hossam El Badry's squad, which includes six players from each of the two Cairo clubs, will be looking to improve on the two-point return from the team's opening two games in Group G.
The seven-time African champions currently sit third behind Kenya and the Comoros.
Egypt are set to face Togo in Cairo on Saturday (2:00pm ET / 11:00am PT on beIN SPORTS) before traveling to Lomé for the reverse fixture on Tuesday (11:00am ET / 8:00am PT on beIN SPORTS).
