Nigeria tasted highs and lows in Friday's AFCON 2021 qualifier against Sierra Leone.
After taking a commanding 4-0 lead in the first thirty minutes, the Super Eagles looked like a completely different side in a second half where the visitors mounted an incredible comeback to earn a point.
Defender Leon Balogun, who was subbed off with the scoreboard reading 4-1, discussed the feeling within the Nigeria locker room after the game.
"The overwhelming feeling was disappoint and anger with ourselves because we lost that game ourselves. We beat ourselves, we collapsed in a way."
The Rangers man blamed complacency for the team's capitulation: "When Sierra Leone got that second goal, I think that was key because that's when they got a new spirit.
Nigeria will be seeking revenge in the reverse fixture on Tuesday when they travel to Freetown, the home of their Group L clash rivals.
