Ghana : Retour au pays pour Asamoah Gyan
Le Ghana rapatrie son attaquant international Asamoah Gyan, qui s'est engagé à Legon Cities.
Libre depuis la fin de son bail au NorthEast United FC (Super League indienne) en janvier dernier, Asamoah Gyan a choisi de revenir aux sources. 17 ans après son départ, l'attaquant international ghanéen s’est officiellement engagé en faveur du club ghanéen de Legon Cities FC (ex-Wa All Stars FC) pour une durée d’un an ce dimanche. Un gros coup pour cette formation basée à Accra et modeste 15eme du dernier championnat.

"Je suis heureux de rejoindre ce club, qui a un projet pour l'avenir du football ghanéen", a écrit Gyan après sa signature. Passé par l’Udinese, Rennes ou Sunderland, le Black Star, meilleur buteur africain de l’histoire en Coupe du monde (6 buts), avait évolué par la suite à Al-Ain (Emirats arabes unis), au Shanghaï SIPG ou encore à Kayserispor lors de sa longue carrière.
