Preview
Liverpool needs just one point to qualify for the knockout phase in the Champions League for the first time since the 2008-2009 season. Jurgen Klopp’s side is unbeaten in their last seven Champions League games, however, five of them ended in a draw. Last time the two sides met in the group, Liverpool came from behind to register a 1-1 draw in Moscow, thanks to a goal from Brazilian playmaker Phillipe Coutinho.
Spartak Moscow is battling to qualify in second place, and only a win will do if the Russians are to qualify for the next round. Spartak hasn't tasted victory in their last six away Champions League games, a run that stretches all the way back to December 2010.
