Bouchard, Mladenovic into last 16 at Citi Open
Eugenie Bouchard won for the first time since the French Open, defeating Christina McHale at the WTA Citi Open.
Eugenie Bouchard advanced to the round of 16 at the WTA Citi Open and she was joined by Kristina Mladenovic and Ekaterina Makarova in Washington.

Next up for Bouchard is Germany's Andrea Petkovic.
Mladenovic – the second seed – was too good for Tatjana Maria, triumphing 7-5 3-6 6-3.
Russian seventh seed Makarova progressed to the quarter-finals with a 6-2 6-4 victory against Monica Puig.
Monica Niculescu – seeded sixth – outlasted Nao Hibino 6-3 2-6 7-6 (9-7).
