Edin Dzeko inspired Roma with a brace, as they ran out 5-2 winners against Benevento on Sunday evening.
The visitors took a shock lead with their first shot on target, as Gianluca Caprari's shot took a deflection to loop into the back of the net. Pedro levelled up for Roma just after the half-hour mark, who pounced on a rebound to score from close range.
Four minutes later, Roma took the lead as Pedro turned provider for Edin Dzeko who calmly curled the ball into the bottom corner. Ten minutes into the second half, the newly-promoted side were level from the penalty spot. Gianluca Lapadula's initial effort was saved, but the striker turned in the goal on the rebound.
Roma hit back in emphatic fashion with three goals in the final thirteen minutes the pick of which was the final goal from Carles Perez who finished off a fantastic solo run.
