Wales players break into song during World Cup welcome ceremony
After being handed their caps by the Duke of Cambridge, Wales' players broke into song at their Rugby World Cup welcome ceremony.
Wales' players sprung a surprise as they burst into song during their Rugby World Cup welcome ceremony on Monday.
Having received their caps from the Duke of Cambridge, Warren Gatland's men serenaded London's Guildhall with a rendition of Welsh folk song Lawr ar Lan y Mor.
The performance - captured on video and swiftly shared on social media - features solos from the likes of Jamie Roberts, Rhys Priestland, Bradley Davies and Ken Owens.
"Thank God the Welsh team play rugby better than they sing," the Duke is quoted as saying after watching the squad's best efforts.
Wales - known as the land of song - opened their campaign with a 54-9 win over Uruguay in Cardiff on Sunday and are in London ahead of their clash with hosts England this weekend.
Gatland was hit by the withdrawal of centre Cory Allen through injury earlier in the day but will be hoping his players are on song once again at Twickenham on Saturday.
