Tigers' Lovett charged with drug possession
Kyle Lovett has been charged with drug possession, NRL club Wests Tigers confirmed.
Wests Tigers second-rower Kyle Lovett will face court after being charged for drug possession.
Lovett, 23, was charged with "possession of a small quantity of a prohibited substance" in December, the NRL club confirmed on Saturday.
He is due to face court on February 1.
"Upon learning of Lovett's charge, Wests Tigers immediately alerted the NRL Integrity Unity this morning and the two parties are currently working together on the matter," the club said in a statement.
"Wests Tigers are incredibly disappointed with Lovett and do not in any way condone his behaviour."
Lovett, who made his NRL debut in 2015, played 22 games for the Tigers last season, scoring one try.
