Packers QB Rodgers: I'm back to my best
NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers is fully healed after injuring his calf last year and ready to lead the Green Bay Packers in 2015.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he is back "playing the way I like to play" as the 2015 NFL season draws closer.
Rodgers enjoyed a stellar campaign, earning MVP honours after throwing for 4,381 yards and 38 touchdowns but the star QB was hampered by a calf injury towards the backend of the season.
The 31-year-old's mobility was limited as the Packers lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship, however he is feeling good ahead of the team's season opener at the Chicago Bears on September 13.
"I'm back to playing the way I like to play, which is to extend plays when I can and get rid of it when I need to," Rodgers said on Thursday.
"[If] I have an opportunity to escape the pocket and create a different angle, then I'm going to. It's nice to be back.
"I trained hard this off-season to keep the speed and keep my body in shape where I can have the endurance to have multiple plays like that in a game. And it definitely adds a different element to our offense."
