Eddie Jones says while England's squad includes a host of top players, he does not have any "world class" talents at his disposal.

England have yet to taste defeat under Stuart Lancaster's successor, a run that has included the Six Nations grand slam, a 3-0 whitewash of Australia and three victories in the November internationals.

That 13-game winning streak has lifted expectations around the side and led to some suggesting England are blessed with a clutch of big names.

Jones disagrees, however, and feels his squad need to keep improving if they want to earn such accolades.

"If you go back to Alex Ferguson's 26 years at Manchester United he said he had two world class players, so I think the term is used [too] lightly," he said at the launch of the Six Nations.

"To be world class you've got to be an automatic selection in a world XV, we don't have any of those players, we have a lot of good players and a lot who want to get better.

"To say we don't have world-class players is not a criticism of the players, it's not a criticism of the team, it's just the reality of it."

England's squad has been depleted by injuries ahead of the tournament and there are still concerns over the fitness of James Haskell and Jack Clifford.

Jones remains hopeful on both but should they miss their opener with France, he believes it is a good opportunity for other players to stake their claim.

"We've got a few injuries but we'll cope with those injuries and get on with it," he added.

"It's a great opportunity for us to increase the depth of the squad and to keep moving forward, if you want to be the best team in the world you have got to have depth in your squad.

"It is all about attitude of wanting to get better, everyone in the squad wants to get better individually and wants the team to get better. So we've got a great attitude."
