NFL reinstates suspended Patriots employees
The NFL will reinstate suspended Patriots employees John Jastremski and Jim McNally, the two men at the heart of the Deflategate scandal.
The NFL will reinstate suspended Patriots employees John Jastremski and Jim McNally, the two men at the heart of the Deflategate scandal, this week.
"Last week, the New England Patriots requested reinstatement of both John Jastremski and Jim McNally. The Patriots have satisfied the league's requirement for reinstatement and the league has granted permission for the employees to return," read a statement issued by the NFL.
After being suspended in May for their alleged roles in deflating footballs during January's AFC championship game, the league said earlier this week the two would not face further discipline.
It was an expected move by the NFL after Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has his four-game suspension overturned by a federal judge on September 3.
According to NFL Media, neither Jastremski nor McNally will be allowed to handle footballs and "McNally is barred from being a locker room attendant for officials or handling equipment."
