Veteran Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant exited Tuesday's NBA pre-season game after taking a knee to his left calf.

The Lakers lost 107-100 to the Sacramento Kings as Bryant hurt his leg.

Bryant - returning from a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder - got tripped up on a drive to the rim by Kings guard Rajon Rondo.

The 37-year-old five-time NBA champion was able to stay in the game for a bit before being checked out on the sideline and eventually jogging to the locker room for further evaluation.

Bryant scored 10 points in just over 17 minutes before his night came to an end.

Lakers pair Jordan Clarkson (17 points) and Lou Williams (16) combined for 33 points.

The Kings - minus resting star DeMarcus Cousins - were led by Marco Belinelli's 17 points.

Reigning NBA champions the Golden State Warriors fell 114-103 to the Denver Nuggets.

The Warriors were outscored by 20 points through the second and third period as Kenneth Faried led the Nuggets.

Faried had a double-double, finishing with 22 points and 12 rebounds in Oakland.

Leando Barbosa was Golden State's leading point-getter with 16 off the bench.
