Bengals rally to stay perfect, Patriots cruise
It was more of the same in the NFL on Sunday as all five undefeated teams stayed as such with contrasting wins.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons were two of the five unbeaten NFL teams to continue their winning ways.
Both needed overtime, with Andy Dalton leading the Bengals to a comeback 27-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bengals scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime before Mike Nugent kicked a 42-yard field goal to cap the second-biggest comeback in franchise history.
Also needing OT were the Falcons, who edged past the Washington Redskins 25-19.
The Denver Broncos improved to 5-0 without an offensive touchdown in their 16-10 win against the Oakland Raiders.
The New England Patriots were the only unbeaten team to breeze to victory, blowing past the Dallas Cowboys with a 30-6 win at AT&T Stadium to improve to 4-0.
Aaron Rodgers was picked off at home for the first time in three years in the Green Bay Packers' 24-10 victory against the St Louis Rams.
Elsewhere, Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles tore his anterior cruciate ligament in Kansas City's 18-17 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Doug Martin was the star for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, running for 123 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-31 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Larry Donnell scored a late TD to see the New York Giants overcome the San Francisco 49ers 30-27.
Sam Bradford threw for 333 yards as the Philadelphia Eagles eased past the New Orleans Saints 39-17.
The Cleveland Browns needed a 32-yard field goal from Travis Coons in overtime to edge the Baltimore Ravens 33-30.
The Buffalo Bills beat the Tennessee Titans 14-13 and the Detroit Lions' winless start to the season continued with a 42-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
