All Blacks not happy with 18 in a row - Read
Inspirational skipper Kieran Read expressed his pride after the All Blacks made history in Auckland.
Kieran Read warned New Zealand's rivals that the world champions are not content with a record 18 consecutive victories after they beat Australia 37-10 at Eden Park on Saturday to make history.
Julian Savea claimed a second-half double and there were also tries from Israel Dagg, Anton Lienert-Brown, TJ Perenara and Dane Coles as the All Blacks juggernaut rolled on in Auckland.
Rory Arnold scored Australia's only try in the first half, but head coach Michael Cheika was irate when a Henry Speight try which would have made it 15-15 was controversially ruled out early in the second half.
Steve Hansen's men are the only tier one nation to have pieced together a run of over 17 Test wins in a row after sealing a 3-0 Bledisloe Cup series triumph.
New Zealand now head to Chicago to face Ireland next month before boarding the plane to Europe to take on the same opponents either side of Tests against Italy and France.
Captain Read expressed his pride over the All Blacks' exploits, but said it is by no means job done.
"I'm pretty excited. It's been a lot of build-up in the week, it'll sink in later on." said the number eight.
"I'm stoked for the lads. The Wallabies brought it to us, they dug in. It took 70 minutes to open up, I'm so proud of the lads, an epic test match
"They put us under pressure and they played really well but that's when we held onto the ball a little bit better and it paid dividends
"For us it's a 32-man squad, they work us hard in the week, keep us on edge, our preparation is world class. It's going to be the way it is moving forward, the whole squad has made an impact in these 18 games.
"We'll enjoy a bit of time at home, but I'm looking forward to the challenge away, we're not happy with 18 we want to keep going."
