The Spanish duo of Pablo Carreno Busta & Guillermo Garcia-Lopez defeated Pablo Lorenzi of Italy & Albert Ramos- Vinolas in straight sets 6-2, 7-6. Busta will be hoping to continue winning ways when he takes on Borna Coric of Croatia tomorrow in his opening singles match of the season. 

Coric also won on his first doubles match of the season, teaming up with Jan-Lennard Struff to defeat the Croatian pair of Filip Krajinovic & Viktor Troicki in straight sets 7-6, 6-4. 

Feliciano Lopez & Rajeev Ram the third seeds in the competition bettered the wildcard duo of Malek Jaziri & Mousa Shanan Zayed of Qatar in straight sets 7-5, 6-2. 

Whilst finally, the number one seeds Jamie Murray of Great Britan & Bruno Soares of Brazil survived an early scare, coming from a set down to book their place in the next round,  beating Marcin Matkowski & Aisam-Uk-Haq 3-6, 7-6, 10-5 on the tiebreaker.  The doubles competion continues tomorrow
