Fraser-Pryce on form in Kingston
With the World Championships fast approaching, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce posted a world-leading 100m time for 2015.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce laid down a marker ahead of next month's World Championships by recording the fastest women's 100-metre time of the year on Friday.
Double Olympic gold medalist Fraser-Pryce, who is also the reigning world champion in the 100m and 200m, streaked clear of the field to claim glory at the Jamaican Championships in a time of 10.79 seconds.
Asafa Powell claimed glory in the corresponding men's race after Yohan Blake had failed to qualify for the final.
Blake, who has failed to produce his best form since returning from time on the sidelines with hamstring injuries, laboured to a time of 10.36 in his semi-final.
Nickel Ashmeade, Kemar Bailey-Cole and Nesta Carter all broke the 10-second mark in the final, but Powell proved the class of the field as he clocked 9.84.
