The Montreal Canadiens continued their stunning start to the NHL season, while the Pittsburgh Penguins were also victorious.
A 3-0 shut-out victory over the Vancouver Canucks saw the Canadiens win for the ninth time in their opening 10 games on Wednesday.
The Penguins continued their decent form, easing past the Anaheim Ducks 5-1.
The other team to win was the Philadelphia Flyers, who needed overtime against the Detroit Red Wings.

Carey Price made an incredible 42 saves, while Nathan Beaulieu, Torrey Mitchell and Alexander Radulov were the goalscorers.

The Penguins extended their winning streak with the convincing win over the Ducks.
It came thanks to five different goalscorers as Evgeni Malkin, Matt Cullen, Bryan Rust, Kris Letang and Patric Hornqvist all netted.
FLYERS RALLY
The Flyers trailed the Red Wings 2-0 before goals from Chris VandeVelde and Roman Lyubimov.
Henrik Zetterberg restored Detroit's lead, only for Mark Streit to tie the game with 64 seconds remaining.
The Flyers took the lead for the first time at the best time, Jakub Voracek scoring one minute, 41 seconds into overtime.
