Faris Ibrahim hands Qatar a historic gold
Weightlifter Faris Ibrahim has won a first ever gold medal for Qatar in the 96kg weightlifting competition for men at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The historic achievement of the 23-year-old Qatari weightlifter came after he lifted a total of 402 kg setting a new Olympic record in the process.
Venezuelan Villanilla Sanchez finished second whilst while the bronze went to Georgian Plisnoll Anton.
