Thunder F Noel leaves court on stretcher after scary fall
Nerlens Noel was involved in a scary collision with Andrew Wiggins in the NBA.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nerlens Noel was taken off the court on a stretcher after a scary collision with Minnesota Timberwolves wing Andrew Wiggins on Tuesday.
Noel was contesting a dunk midway through the third quarter when Wiggins' elbow made contact with his face. He then fell and banged his head on the floor.
Noel appeared to briefly lose consciousness. He was moving as medical personal attended to him, according to ESPN.
The 24-year-old forward was called for a personal foul on the play. The referees reviewed the incident and determined no additional fouls needed to be distributed.
Wiggins addressed the incident in a tweet later, sending his prayers.
Noel is averaging five points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 2018-19.
Oklahoma City went on to lose to Minnesota 119-117, dropping them to 25-15 this season.
