Bledsoe delighted to seal lucrative deal with playoff-bound Bucks
Eric Bledsoe had a Friday to remember, securing a lucrative new deal with the Bucks and securing a playoff spot.
Eric Bledsoe declared "I'm just happy to be a Buck" after he celebrated signing a contract extension by playing a big part in Milwaukee sealing a playoff place.
Bledsoe on Friday agreed a four-year deal worth a reported $70million and later top scored with 31 points in a 131-120 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, which ensured the Bucks will prolong their season.
The point guard spoke of his delight after committing his future to Milwaukee.
"I'm just happy to be a Buck." he said.
"We've got the talent in our team, we are growing together. We are competing for something and I just want to be a part of that. It means a lot."
He added: "It means a lot, not just for the money-wise. They always check in on our family, see how we are doing. It feels like home."
Nikola Mirotic welcomed Bledsoe's extension after the Bucks sealed a seventh consecutive win and stressed the importance of maintaining momentum as they go in search of glory.
"It is great news. We don't want to relax. We have - how many? - 20 games left." said Mirotic.
"Obviously we are very happy for Bledsoe. The Bledsoe show continues."
