Sykes claims pole at Losail
It was a Kawasaki one-two in qualifying for the final round of the Superbike World Championship as Tom Sykes beat Jonathan Rea to pole.
Kawasaki's Tom Sykes claimed the 30th pole position of his Superbike World Championship career by topping the timesheets in Losail on Saturday.
The 2013 world champion ended the second superpole session in first place with a time of one minute and 56.821 seconds in Qatar.
He will head the grid for the final two races of the season ahead of new champion and team-mate Jonathan Rea, who ended the session in second.
The Ducatis of Xavi Fores and Chaz Davies were third and fourth, with Aprilia's Leon Haslam in fifth.
