Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael, capped a superb debut Formula 4 weekend with a race win on Sunday.

Having finished ninth and 12th in the opening two races in Oschersleben the 16 year-old produced a composed drive in race three to claim his maiden victory in single-seater racing.

Schumacher made his way to the front of the field in the opening laps, however a safety car ended any hopes he had of building a lead.

Following the restart he was able to pull clear, and that was enough to secure him victory as a second safety car stopped Van Amersfoort Racing team-mate Joey Mawson catching him.
