Kvyat tops second practice on strong day for Red Bull
Red Bull built on a promising first practice in Singapore by leading the way in the second thanks to a strong Daniil Kvyat showing.
Daniil Kvyat set the pace in second practice for the Singapore Grand Prix on an impressive day for Red Bull.
After Daniel Ricciardo ended the first session in third place, Kvyat recorded a fastest lap of one minute and 46.142 seconds to top the timesheets.
Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen was second, with Ricciardo again third in a Red Bull showing that was in contrast to the rest of their 2015 season, which has been defined by engine supplier Renault's struggles.
Mercedes were surprisingly locked out of the top three. Defending world champion Lewis Hamilton was fourth and Nico Rosberg could only manage seventh.
That pair were spilt by Sebastian Vettel in the other Ferrari and the Force India of Sergio Perez.
There was more encouragement for McLaren as Fernando Alonso built on his 11th-place finish in the first session by coming eighth, team-mate Jenson Button was 14th.
Force India's Nico Hulkenberg and Max Verstappen of Toro Rosso rounded off the top 10.
Meanwhile Manor endured more misfortune as, after seeing Alexander Rossi crash into a barrier in FP1, Will Stevens duly slid off the track in FP2.
