Guardioa strikes at the death to hand Valladolid a point against Real Madrid
Real Madrid were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Real Valladolid on Saturday evening. Karim Benzema opened up the scoring with ten minutes to go, before Sergi Guardiola popped up with two minutes left in the contest to hand the visitors a shock point.
Benzema's swift swivel and shot on the edge of the box arrowed past Valladolid keeper Jordi Masip, to hand Zidane’s side a much-needed lead late in the second half. However, it was not to be back to back wins for Real, who conceded just two minutes of regulation time to play.
On a foray forward, Óscar Plano played a perfect ball to Sergio Guardiola who poked the ball through the legs of Courteous to hand Valladolid a point at the Santiago Bernabeu.
