Alaves will be looking to return to winning ways after enduring a five-game winless streak which has seen the side slide down the La Liga standings. Having been in the mix for Champions League football during the season it seems that the season is winding down for Abelardo Fernández’s side and are currently sitting in eighth place in the league.
Still, with five games left of the campaign, the side from the Basque country still can qualify for European football but will have to get results against the likes of local rivals Atletico Bilbao & Valencia in order to keep that dream alive. Last time out, Alaves were held to a 2-2 draw to relegation-threatened Valladolid early goals from John Guidetti & Jony were cancelled out by Joaquin Fernandez & Enes Unal in what was a huge result for the visitors.
In team news, Fernández’s should go with the same side from the weekend, although late fitness tests will be given to Guillermo Maripán & Japanese international Takashi Inui who picked up knocks against Valladolid. Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri will be the dangerman for the side, the former Las Palmas man is the leading scorer for Alaves so far this season.
Alaves Predicted Team

As for Barcelona, they can potentially win the league by Wednesday with a victory at Alaves & second-placed Atletico fail to win against Valencia the next evening. With a crunch Champions League semi-final coming up against Liverpool, Ernesto Valverde will be looking to wrap up the La Liga crown and have the opportunity to rest some key men.
Last time out, Barca maintained their undefeated streak to 21 games in the league with a routine 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad. French defender Clément Lenglet scored his first goal for the side before Sociedad drew level in the second half thanks to a goal from Juanmi. The Catalans wasted little time and hit the winner two minutes later as Jordi Alba curled a shot into the bottom corner.
With the game on Saturday against Levante looking like a potential title decider. Valverde may elect to change up his side with an eye on the Champions League. The likes of Gerald Pique, Leo Messi and Ivan Rakatic could be named on the bench whilst the likes of Umtiti, Busquets & Malcom could replace the trio in the side. The game could prove to be a boost for Luis Suarez who has not found the back of the net in his last three games in all competitions. The Uruguayan is likely to lead the line and will be looking to get amongst the goals ahead of a semi-final meeting against his former side.
Barcelona Predicted Team
Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Umtiti, Lenglet, Alba; Vidal, Busquets, Arthur; Coutinho, Suarez, Malcom
