Inzamam appointed as permanent Afghanistan coach
After guiding Afghanistan to historic wins in Zimbabwe, Inzamam-ul-Haq has been hired as their head coach on a permanent basis.
Inzamam-ul-Haq has been appointed head coach of Afghanistan on a permanent basis following their success in Zimbabwe.
The former Pakistan captain took temporary charge for the one-day and Twenty 20 series with Zimbabwe and steered Afghanistan to two historic triumphs.
Afghanistan claimed a first series victory against a full International Cricket Council (ICC) member nation by edging the ODI series 3-2 and followed that up by emerging victorious in both T20s.
And the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have rewarded Inzamam with a one-year contract.
ACB chairman Nasimullah Danish said: "Inzamam signed one-year contact today, and he will be head coach of the Afghanistan national cricket team.
"His presence with the national team will polish skills of the national cricket team."
