India call up Ojha, Nair for injured duo
Naman Ojha and Karun Nair have been added to India's squad for the third Test against Sri Lanka.
India have added wicketkeeper Naman Ojha and batsman Karun Nair to their squad for the third and final Test with Sri Lanka after Wriddhiman Saha and Murali Vijay were ruled out through injury.
Saha injured his right hamstring in the ongoing second Test between the two sides, which concludes on Monday, while Vijay has suffered a recurrence of a previous hamstring problem.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) responded to those setbacks on Sunday by calling up two players uncapped at Test level, although Ojha has previously represented India in a solitary one-day international and two Twenty20s.
Sri Lanka will begin the final day of the second Test on 72-2 requiring a further 341 runs to open up an unassailable 2-0 lead, while India need eight wickets to level the series.
The third Test begins at Colombo's SSC ground next Friday.
