Sevilla booked their place in the final of the Copa del Ray with a 3-1 aggregate win over Leganes on Wednesday evening.
Vincenzo Montella’s side made a dream start to the tie taking the lead on the 15-minute mark. After neat attacking play on the wing saw Luis Muriel square the ball to Joaquín Correa, and the Argentine midfielder tapped in from close range.
Chasing the game Leganes pushed forward and that proved to be their undoing as Franco Vázquez scored a stunning second goal to book his side's place in the final. A long ball was clipped to substitute Sandro Ramírez, who passed to Vázquez who launched a blistering shot which nestled into the top right-hand corner.
Sevilla will take on either Valencia or Barcelona who are set to face-off in their second leg semi-final on Thursday evening. The tie is delicately poised at 1-1.
