The Golden State Warriors are being rewarded for years of hard work, according to star guard Stephen Curry, who guided the NBA franchise past the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

Curry scored 32 points and registered 10 assists as the Warriors claimed a 108-95 victory and a 4-2 semi-final series win in the process.

The Warriors are now set to embark on their first Western Conference finals appearance since 1975-76, when they were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns.

"This is big. We have come a long way. Especially since I have been here the last six years to get to this point. It is a lot of hard work," Curry, who was drafted by the Warriors in 2009, told ESPN afterwards.

"We come to play every night and it is nice to see the results of that. We wanna keep rolling. A lot more work to do."

Curry was at his scintillating best against the Grizzlies on the road, making eight shots from beyond the arc, including a memorable effort from his defensive half at FedExForum in Memphis.

"That was crazy. I had missed four lay-ups and easy shots to end that quarter then you just chuck one up from 75 feet and it goes in," the 27-year-old added.

"It was a big-mo to end that quarter. I had not made one since college so that was cool."

The Warriors will face the winner of the Houston Rockets versus Los Angeles Clippers, with the series tied at 3-3.

"It's nice to be able rest after a hard-fought series," said Curry.

"Really this was the challenge to close out a series on the road. We answered the bell. Everyone contributed. It was a team effort."
