Harden signs four-year Rockets extension
James Harden has agreed to a four-year, $118 million contract renegotiation that takes him through 2020 in Houston.
Four-time NBA All-Star James Harden has agreed a four-year extension to his contract with the Houston Rockets.
Harden's new deal takes him through until the 2020 season with the Rockets and he is joined at the franchise by free agents Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon and Nene.
Under the fresh terms Harden is reported to be set to earn $26.5million this season and that figure will rise to $32.7m in 2019-20 as the Rockets pay the 26-year-old an additional $83.5m over the next four years.
"I'm happy to be here for four more years," said Harden. "This is home for me."
In 2015-16 Harden averaged 29 points for the Rockets, with 7.5 assists, 6.1 rebounds and he also recorded a career-high 4.5 turnovers per game.
