Hamstrung Durant to miss at least a week
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is set for a stint on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without NBA All-Star forward Kevin Durant for up to 10 days after an MRI confirmed he strained his left hamstring.
Oklahoma City announced the news on Wednesday, after Durant hurt himself during the Thunder's 125-101 win over the Washington Wizards 24 hours earlier.
Durant suffered the injury during the second quarter in Washington and did not return, finishing with 14 points in 17 minutes on court.
With Durant out, Kyle Singler is tipped to get the starting nod, with Russell Westbrook likely to post big numbers in Durant's absence.
Through eight games this season, Durant has averaged 28.1 points (fourth in the NBA), 7.3 rebounds and three assists per-game for the Thunder, who boast a 5-3 win-loss record.
