Durant makes return as Thunder win

Kevin Durant made his return to NBA action after eight months in Oklahoma City Thunder's 122-99 pre-season win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Durant scored 15 points in 22 minutes in his first game since February, while the Thunder's Russell Westbrook made Tyus' Jones debut for the Timberwolves one to forget.

Jones failed to post a point, dishing off four assists in Minneapolis.

The Atlanta Hawks recorded a 98-96 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, but it was LeBron James who stole the headlines after his selfie with a bunch of young fans in the crowd went viral.

Jeff Teague scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half, while James and J.R. Smith had 28 points between them for the Cavaliers.

Utah Jazz picked up a thrilling 117-114 overtime win against the Los Angeles Lakers in Hawaii, with Alec Burks finishing on 27 points.

A strong second quarter from the New York Knicks saw them record a 100-81 win over Brazilian club Bauru.

Shabazz Napier hit a three-pointer with 3.5 seconds left on the clock to help Orlando Magic to a 100-97 win over former team the Miami Heat.

The Houston Rockets won every single quarter in a 109-82 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, while the Phoenix Suns saw off the Sacramento Kings 102-95.
