Barca turn to Bartzokas
Georgios Bartzokas has signed a three-year deal to coach Barcelona, who parted company with Xavi Pascual by mutual consent last Tuesday.
Barcelona have appointed Georgios Bartzokas as their new coach, following the departure of Xavi Pascual.
Pascual left by mutual consent last Tuesday, having won the 2010 Euroleague crown and four Spanish top-flight titles during his eight years at the helm.
On Friday, Barca announced the appointment of Bartzokas, who joins from Lokomotiv Kuban, on a three-year deal.
The Greek is also a former Euroleague champion, winning the competition with Olympiacos in 2013.
Barcelona failed to make the Final Four of the 2015-16 Euroleague, losing to Bartzokas' Lokomotiv side in the last eight.
