Lebanese pair  Ray Bassil and Alan Moussa have won the gold medal for the mixed doubles competition in the shooting competition, the first for Lebanon since Doha in 2000.

Bassil and her teammate Moussa beat China Taipei, after a fierce competition that was concluded with the final shot, to give their country a vital gold medal in Indonesia. 

The Lebanese team managed to score forty-three points, a brand new Asian record, one point ahead of Chinese Taipei & China.
