His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, The Amir of Qatar has participated in the handover ceremony for the 2022 World Cup, with Russian president Vladimir Putin & FIFA president Gianni Infantino. 

The brief ceremony was held at the Kremlin, where Vladimir Putin symbolically passed the ball to the Amir of Qatar, with the help of FIFA President Gianni Infantino. All three spoke briefly at the press conference thanking FIFA and their respective countries for the opportunity to host the FIFA World Cup.
