Kozłowski leads Gaziantep’s rout

The match got off to a frantic start. Just five minutes in, Halil Dervişoğlu opened the scoring for the visitors, before Myenty Abena doubled the lead in the 10th minute following a move involving Alexandru Maxim.

Göztepe had a golden opportunity to get back into the game in the 31st minute when Novatus Miroshi stepped up to take a penalty. However, goalkeeper Kacper Tobiasz dove to his left and saved the effort. The missed penalty proved costly.

The nightmare continued for the hosts as Kacper Kozłowski scored in the 34th minute and struck again in first-half stoppage time, completing his brace and giving Gaziantep a commanding 4-0 lead at the break.

Juan Santos pulls two back, but Göztepe fall short

Göztepe responded after the restart. In the 51st minute, Juan Santos converted a Janderson assist to make it 4-1 and give the hosts a glimmer of hope.

However, Göztepe’s comeback hopes took another blow in the 72nd minute when Ogün Bayrak was shown a straight red card following a heavy challenge on Gassama.

Deep into stoppage time, Juan Santos scored again, this time from the penalty spot in the 90+2nd minute, to complete the final score at 4-2.

With the victory, Gaziantep FK climbed to fifth place with seven points, while Göztepe remained on one point after four matches and sit second-to-last in the standings.
