Haaland Equals Kane and Shearer
Erling Haaland Continues His Dominance in the Premier League
Erling Haaland finished as the top scorer of the Premier League season with 27 goals, enough to secure the Golden Boot and claim his third award in four seasons with Manchester City.
With this achievement, he equals Harry Kane and Alan Shearer on the list of multiple winners of the prestigious scoring award.
The Norwegian striker won his first Golden Boot during his debut season with Manchester City, scoring 36 goals — the highest total ever recorded in a single Premier League campaign. He later won it again in the 2023-24 season with 27 goals and now repeats that tally to secure his third crown.
Historical Comparisons and Goal-Scoring Records
“The Cyborg” is now chasing the four Golden Boots won by Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah, the all-time leaders for the award.
At Manchester City, Haaland’s numbers are astonishing: 162 goals in 198 appearances, already placing him among the club’s greatest scorers. For comparison, Sergio Agüero, the club’s all-time leading scorer with 260 goals, needed ten seasons to reach that mark.
In the all-time Premier League scoring chart, Haaland already has 112 goals and is rapidly closing in on the top 10, where Jermain Defoe sits with 162 goals. The Norwegian striker is only 50 goals away from that milestone, and considering his scoring pace, he could break into the historic top 10 within the next two seasons.

International Focus With Norway
Now, Erling Haaland shifts his attention to the FIFA World Cup, where the Norway National Team will return after a 28-year absence.
With his current form, the Norwegian forward is expected to be one of the tournament’s biggest stars, further cementing his status as one of the most dominant strikers in world football.
