Oliver Glasner and Eddie Howe were both left disappointed after Crystal Palace hit back late on against Newcastle United.

Daniel Munoz headed home in the 94th minute at Selhurst Park on Saturday, salvaging a point Palace were more than worthy of.

The Magpies took the lead after the break as Marc Guehi turned Anthony Gordon's cross into his own net, yet failed to have a single shot on target throughout.

Indeed, Newcastle had just one attempt in total and mustered just 0.02 expected goals, while Palace finished with 16 shots and 1.3 xG.

And ultimately, both bosses were left to rue the result.

After seeing his team move out of the bottom three, Glasner said to BBC Sport: "It was so deserved. We're a little bit disappointed because we would have deserved the win today. Keeping Newcastle on one shot – it was an unbelievable performance.

"We feel we deserve a bit more [this season]. It’s not that we miss [chances] because we’re arrogant. It's about how you deal with it. What gives me a lot of confidence is the character of the players here at Crystal Palace."

Howe, meanwhile, told BBC Sport: "It's really gutting to concede the goal at the end.

"I felt like we'd weathered the storm and would see the game out. We defended crosses well, but one moment cost us today. In [our last] two games, we’ve let a lot of points slip."

Despite the grim attacking statistics, Howe believed Newcastle were the better side.

"We didn’t have any goalmouth action, but I felt we were good in the game," he said.

"I felt we nullified them pretty well. In the main, I think we controlled it pretty well."
