Enzo Fernández Denies He Will Leave Chelsea Amid Rumors
Enzo Fernández shuts down exit rumors and reaffirms his commitment to Chelsea. The Argentine midfielder said this Friday that he is very happy at the London club and that his goal is to win titles in the Premier League and in Europe with the Blues.
The Argentina 2022 World Cup champion still has several years left on his contract, but in recent weeks there had been speculation about a possible departure from Chelsea, something the player himself dismissed in an interview with Sky Sports.
“I’m very grateful for the three years I’ve been here. We’ve gone from worse to better, and being here today makes me very happy,” said Enzo Fernández.
“I want to win titles with the club because that’s what this club demands. I feel very connected to the club and very comfortable, so I hope to win many titles here,” the Argentine midfielder added.

Enzo Fernández enjoying his best Premier League form
Since joining Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 for €120 million, Enzo has established himself as a key player for the club. The Argentine was nominated for Premier League Player of the Month in January after scoring three goals and providing one assist in five matches, including the equalizer at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City and the stoppage-time winner against West Ham United.
With eight Premier League goals, this is already the Argentine’s most prolific season since arriving in European football. He is also the second-highest scorer for Chelsea in the league, behind Joao Pedro, and has eleven goals in all competitions.
Since Enzo Maresca left on January 1, Chelsea have remained unbeaten in the league, first with an interim coach against Manchester City and then in three matches under Liam Rosenior.
Under the English manager, Enzo Fernández has returned to playing in central midfield alongside Ecuador international Moisés Caicedo, instead of operating as a more advanced No. 10, regaining influence in Chelsea’s build-up play.
