(PHOTOS) Donald Trump’s Grandchildren Fulfill Dream of Meeting Lionel Messi in Miami
It was an unforgettable night at the Chase Stadium, as Ivanka Trump and her three children shared the pitch with Lionel Messi and other Inter Miami stars during their playoff victory over Nashville SC in the MLS Eastern Conference.
A Night of Family, Football, and Stars
Ivanka Trump, daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, was one of the special guests at the match where Inter Miami secured their spot in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a dominant 4-0 win over Nashville SC. Accompanied by her three children, the businesswoman enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime experience that included walking onto the field alongside players such as Lionel Messi.
On her Instagram account, Ivanka shared a carousel of photos, expressing gratitude to David Beckham, Jorge Mas, and the team. “Had the most incredible time at the Inter Miami game this weekend! Thank you to everyone for such a magical experience — the energy was electric!” wrote Trump’s daughter. She also thanked Messi personally for walking hand-in-hand with her youngest son, Theodore James, aged nine, as they entered the field.
In the gallery, Arabella Rose, 14, was seen walking beside Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets, while 12-year-old Joseph Frederick accompanied goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo. The youngest, Theodore James, had the honor of walking with Messi, fulfilling what many would consider a dream come true.
Messi Shines On and Off the Pitch
The meeting between the Trump grandchildren and Lionel Messi came at a special moment for the Argentine star, who recently spoke at the American Business Forum in Miami about his business ventures and life after football. “Football has an expiration date, unfortunately. I want to start learning and getting involved in new projects. The business world interests me, and I want to keep growing,” said the Inter Miami captain, who is under contract with the club until 2028.
Messi also reflected on the transformation of soccer culture in the U.S. following his arrival: “Inter Miami helped bring new energy to the city, but the MLS itself has grown tremendously. Stadiums are full, fans are passionate, and the sport keeps expanding every year.”
The night at Chase Stadium ended in celebration, as Inter Miami cruised to a 4-0 victory thanks to goals from Messi and Tadeo Allende, securing a place in the semifinals where they will face Cincinnati FC for a spot in the Eastern Conference Final.
