Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo, teammates at both Real Madrid and the Brazil national team, served as groomsmen for Éder Militão's religious wedding ceremony with influencer Tainá Castro. The lavish event took place on Friday at the exclusive Palácio Tangará in São Paulo, with a 12-hour celebration attended by 300 guests.

The wedding featured performances by popular Brazilian artists such as Gusttavo Lima, Léo Santana, and L7NNON, and drew a crowd full of celebrities from sports and entertainment. The religious ceremony included a touching moment with the couple’s children from previous relationships: Cecília, daughter of Militão and Karoline Lima, and Matteo and Helena, children of Tainá and Léo Pereira, who currently plays for Flamengo.

The bride, 29, wore a gown by designer Marie Lafayette and had shared on social media her many visits to the venue leading up to the big day to oversee every detail. The 27-year-old defender and his partner had already formalized their union in a civil ceremony held in Madrid in May 2024.

A Short Honeymoon Before Another Big Party

The newlyweds planned to spend their honeymoon in a luxury suite at Palácio Tangará, though their time off will be brief: Militão is set to attend Vinícius Jr.’s 25th birthday party over the weekend in Rio de Janeiro.

According to reports, the wedding cost around two million Brazilian reais (roughly $358,000 USD), with half of that amount going toward Gusttavo Lima’s performance. The price tag stirred controversy online, especially considering that Militão is currently involved in a legal battle to reduce the child support payments he owes to Karoline Lima, claiming the current amount is too high.

Despite the backlash, the wedding showcased the strong bond between Real Madrid stars both on and off the pitch. The prominent roles of Vinícius and Rodrygo underscored their close friendship with Militão, adding another unforgettable moment to their shared journey in football.
