Pulisic Raises Concern for Milan and the United States
The American forward is going through a goal drought that sets off alarms just two months before the World Cup
Christian Pulisic is not at his best, and his dip in form is starting to raise concern both at AC Milan and within the United States national team.
The most recent international break left more questions than answers for the USMNT, especially regarding the so-called “Captain America,” who was far from his best level and failed to make an attacking impact under Mauricio Pochettino.
At club level, the situation is not much better. Milan face a crucial clash in Serie A against Napoli, a key match in their fight for Champions League spots, with Pulisic under pressure to rediscover his top form.
The winger was one of the team’s standout performers in the first half of the season, but his level has dropped significantly in recent months. In fact, he has yet to score in 2026 for the Rossoneri, a drought that is now raising serious concerns.
With the national team, the situation is even more worrying. Pulisic has not scored since November 2024, when he found the net against the Jamaica national team in the CONCACAF Nations League. His last goal for Milan came on December 28, 2025, against Hellas Verona, and since then he has managed just one assist, which came against Torino in March.
With just over two months to go before the World Cup, Pulisic’s form has become a key issue for both his club and country, who need their main attacking star back at his best.
