Botafogo defeated Nacional Potosí 2-0 at Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro to advance to the third qualifying round of the Copa Libertadores.
Goals from Alex Telles and Danilo in the first half guided the side coached by Martin Anselmi to overturn the first-leg deficit.
Early goal sets the tone
Just four minutes into the match, Alex Telles opened the scoring after receiving a precise pass from Danilo and finishing over the goalkeeper. The goal forced the Bolivian side, led by Leonardo Eguez, to abandon their defensive setup.
Before halftime, Danilo added the second goal following a set-piece sequence, sealing the aggregate advantage.

Next opponent: Barcelona
In the second half, Botafogo controlled the tempo and limited the visitors’ attempts to respond.
The Brazilian side will now face Barcelona SC in the next stage after the Ecuadorian club eliminated Argentinos Juniors.
