Antonela Roccuzzo Reunites With Wives of Former Barcelona Stars in Italy While Messi Stays in Miami
Lionel Messi’s wife reconnects with Coral Simanovich and Daniella Semaan during a European getaway as the Inter Miami star focuses on MLS action.
Reunion in Italy With Longtime Friends
Antonela Roccuzzo, wife of Lionel Messi, took a break from Miami and traveled to Italy, where she met up with Coral Simanovich and Daniella Semaan, the partners of former Barcelona players Sergi Roberto and Cesc Fàbregas, respectively. Roccuzzo shared the reunion through her social media, posting images of their elegant holiday at one of Italy’s picturesque locations.
While the Argentinian legend stayed in Florida focused on Inter Miami, Roccuzzo enjoyed a few days off with her close friends. Messi has been in spectacular form, tallying eight goals and two assists in his last five MLS matches, helping his team climb the Eastern Conference standings under Javier Mascherano’s guidance.
A Lasting Bond From Their Barcelona Days
The trio of couples built a strong friendship during their overlapping years at Barcelona, especially between 2011 and 2014. Fàbregas left Barcelona for Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles, while Messi and Roberto played over 240 matches together until the club’s financial struggles led to Messi’s unexpected exit in 2021.
Currently, Fàbregas is the head coach of Como in Serie A, a team that also features Sergi Roberto in its ranks. That shared history helped keep their families close even after careers moved them to different corners of the footballing world.
Messi Locked In With Inter Miami
Back in the United States, Lionel Messi continues his exceptional run with Inter Miami after their Club World Cup stint. With three matches in hand, the team is aiming to close the gap on conference leaders FC Cincinnati. Messi will soon lead his side in high-profile Leagues Cup matchups against Atlas, Necaxa, and Universidad Nacional.
Messi’s form has been nothing short of dominant, scoring 18 goals in 18 appearances this MLS season. Despite Roccuzzo’s brief escape to Europe, the Argentine icon remains fully committed to helping Inter Miami push for titles both domestically and internationally.
