Reports indicated that there were discussions between representatives of the Saudi Sovereign Investment Fund and the player’s entourage, who were offered record-breaking figures to persuade him to leave Real Madrid. Some astronomical figures were mentioned, with a potential salary close to one billion euros for a five-year contract, which would have made it the most lucrative deal in sports history.

Despite the interest, both Vinícius and Real Madrid remained resolute. The Madrid club made it clear that the player has a release clause of 1 billion euros and did not entertain offers.
