How and Where to Watch Zambia vs. Comoros at AFCON 2025 on beIN SPORTS
Zambia faces a must-win match against Comoros in AFCON survival chase.
Comoros make a strong first impression
For a team ranked 108th in the world against a Moroccan side that is 11th in the FIFA rankings and competing in front of a home crowd in the opening game of AFCON 2025, Comoros didn’t look out of place on the highest stage last Sunday.
Disciplined, dogged defending at the back from Comoros and dangerous breaks up front kept the Moroccan players on their toes and the supporters in the stadium on the edge of their seats for 55 minutes before some Real Madrid class from Brahim Díaz sparked off an eventual 2-0 win for Morocco.
Another opportunity on Matchday 2
Comoros have another chance to show what the players from this tiny island nation can do, live on beIN SPORTS on Friday in a Match Day 2 game against Zambia.
Friday’s opponents in this definitive Group A clash have already got a point on the board with a more than credible draw against Mali, when Patson Daka came up with an injury time equalizer and almost did himself an enormous injury in the euphoric celebrations.
Indeed, the Zambian team doctor, Wesley Ngongo, had to confirm that the player had not damaged his neck in a forward flip gone wrong, revealing that “he’s got no pain, no stiffness.”
What’s at stake for Zambia
That late point picked up was crucial in the team’s chances of moving through to the knockout stages. With Morocco facing Zambia in the team’s third and final AFCON game and expected to pick up a victory in that one, a win is a must for the Chipolopolo against Comoros if the team is to have a hope of making it through to the knockout stages.
