Will Giannis Antetokounmpo Play Alongside Steph Curry, or Will Lebron James Prevent It?
Milwaukee Bucks listen to offers for Giannis Antetokounmpo and shake up the NBA market
In the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks are listening to trade offers for Giannis Antetokounmpo, a dramatic shift that could change the balance of power across the league. While everything suggests this saga could extend into the offseason, rumors about potential destinations for the Greek superstar are already starting to emerge.
Warriors push to reunite Giannis with Stephen Curry
If there is one thing the Bucks can afford to be patient about, it is negotiations involving Antetokounmpo. Golden State, however, is eager to make a deal happen, according to NBC Sports. The Warriors are reportedly willing to put up to four first-round picks on the table, along with additional assets, to create a star duo alongside Stephen Curry.
The deal would only be delayed if other teams such as the Miami Heat or New York Knicks manage to present a more attractive offer as the offseason approaches.
Can the Lakers compete for Giannis?
Any potential trade involving the Los Angeles Lakers would have to include Austin Reaves, as well as the sacrifice of two future first-round picks, since they can currently offer only one.
Virtually any player on the roster other than Luka Dončić could be part of the equation, although even that might not be enough to convince Milwaukee to part ways with the Greek Freak.
Brooklyn Nets ready to make an aggressive offer
It is no secret that Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks views the arrival of Giannis Antetokounmpo as a franchise-altering moment. To that end, he has stockpiled a significant number of draft picks and young talent capable of appealing to the Bucks.
Brooklyn currently has 10 first-round picks available for trade, 11 if they wait until Draft night and include the selected player, making them one of the top contenders to land Giannis.
For now, rumors are everywhere and nothing is concrete. The league will be watching closely to see where Antetokounmpo ends up, or whether the Bucks are simply testing the market.
