The battle for P2 in the constructors’ championship is heating up as well, with just 10 points separating second-placed Mercedes and fourth-placed Red Bull - and five races plus two Sprint events still to come.

Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz was forced to retire on Lap 7 after a collision with Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli, with the Williams driver later handed a five-place grid penalty for the upcoming Mexico Grand Prix.
