The summer so far…
Dominated by yet another transfer saga around striker Harry Kane. This time German champions FC Bayern Munich have been inquiring about the services of the England international. Several bids have been batted away by chairman Daniel Levvy, however, now it seems that now Kane has been given the go-ahead for a medical with a four-year deal on the table. Whatever way you cut it for Tottenham, this is not ideal business heading into a new Premier League campaign.
Ange Postecoglou has been hired in which is the start is of yet another new era at Tottenham. After impressing at Celtic with attacking progressive football, it will be interesting to see how the confident Australian adapts to the pressure of the Premier League, especially now without Harry Kane. Crucially for Tottenham fans, it seems that Postecoglou wants to be at the club. In terms of recruits James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Micky van de Ven will add some much-needed competition to a squad that lost their way under Antonio Conte.
Player to watch…
James Maddison starred in a struggling Leicester side, offering goals and assists. Maddison feels like a player with all the tools to be a Premier League great. At 26, the Coventry-born playmaker is coming into his prime years and a standout season at Spurs could be enough to convince Gareth Southgate to use his talents in the England squad for Euro 2024.

Predicted Finish – 9th
With Kane on his way to the Bundesliga, Spurs will have to settle for a midtable finish however Ange Ball will deliver plenty of reasons to be hopeful for the following season under the Australian.
