Alcaraz continued his impressive unbeaten start to the season as he took just one hour and 33 minutes to earn his 6-3 6-4 win over the Briton in the last eight.
The Spaniard started strong, getting the first break to take a 4-2 lead, and although Norrie immediately got back on serve, Alcaraz regained his advantage to take the first set in a little more than half an hour.
Norrie then took the first two games of the second, but Alcaraz soon regained his momentum, responding with a four-game winning streak.
The 30-year-old stopped Alcaraz from converting his first three match points, the first two of which came on Norrie's serve, but the world No.1 booked his place in the last four on the fourth attempt.
Alcaraz is now 16-0 for the season as he looks to continue his perfect start to 2026 by claiming his first Indian Wells title since 2024.
